About Ankeny Cheerleading

Ankeny Cheerleading is a vibrant embodiment of enthusiasm, athleticism, and leadership, dedicated to serving as a beacon of spirit and support within our community. Our cheerleaders perform high-energy routines that showcase a range of stunts and tumbling skills, reflecting their commitment to both personal growth and team unity. Beyond refining their own athletic abilities, Ankeny Cheerleaders focus on uplifting and collaborating with their teammates to foster collective success. This spirit of encouragement extends not only to their squad but also to the other sports teams they support and the broader community. If you’re ready to contribute to this dynamic environment and make a positive impact, we invite you to try out for the upcoming season of Ankeny Cheerleading!

Time Commitment

Ankeny Cheerleaders time commitment varies by squad. Typically, each team will practice twice a week, varying from 1-2 hours, with one game during the fall season, and two games a week during the winter season. Game times can be found on the CIML Website

The Ankeny Competition Cheer team is eligible for a cheerleader on any fall squad to try out. In addition to their sideline practices, competitive cheerleaders will have additional practices and 3-4 competitions on the weekends during the fall season.
