icon Meet Activities Director Bakker

Welcome to Hawk Activities and Athletics!

I am honored and humbled to serve as the Activities Director at Ankeny High School. It has been a privilege to learn from the dedicated ADs who have come before me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue building on the tradition of providing positive experiences for the many students who choose to represent the Hawkettes, Hawks, Ankeny High School, and the greater Ankeny community each year.

Education-based activities play a vital role in helping students grow as individuals and teammates while fostering a commitment to academics and school spirit. Ankeny High School is proud of its rich tradition of success in athletics, fine arts, and the many student-led clubs that thrive year after year. These programs not only provide opportunities for achievement but also allow students to become part of something greater than themselves, contributing to the enduring legacy of success at AHS.
