Ankeny Hawk Wrestling training and preparation are unmatched. We approach every community event, class, practice, dual meet and tournament with relentless intensity, knowing every detail matters. Our unrelenting attitude provides us with the confidence to dominate in the classroom and on the mat.

We are the most respected, revered program in the state. We compete each and every year for traditional state and state dual titles, as well as national recognition. We are tirelessly and relentlessly dedicated to winning the right way EVERY time. Other teams will use Ankeny Hawk Wrestling as a model to build their program.

We compete with a tenacious energy and intensity when we step on the mat and the whistle blows. Every team in our conference does not want us on their schedule. We force our opponents to earn every takedown, escape, and reversal. We pack our gym for every home event because our fans want to see us compete with the highest level of intensity, focus, enthusiasm, and fun.

STUDENT-ATHLETE: STUDENT comes first. Our wrestlers will consistently strive to achieve Honor Roll status as well as All-CIML Academic status through hard work, discipline, and integrity. We will graduate every wrestling student-athlete in our program. We will prepare our wrestlers for meaningful careers and support them in becoming productive members of society.

Ankeny Hawk Wrestling will be “THE” team to be on. We will carry ourselves with the utmost respect, integrity, and character at school and in the community. We will choose a community service project each year to show our support and thanks to the best Community (Ankeny) and School District (Ankeny Community School District) in the state.

Wrestling is a brotherhood. Our athletes will stay connected with each other throughout their lifetimes and each wrestler will know they are a valued member of the Ankeny Hawk Wrestling program. Alumni will feel that they are a significant and integral part of the team.

We will appreciate and savor every opportunity to represent the school and community of Ankeny in an Ankeny Hawk singlet, each member of the team knowing they are part of something so special and so much bigger than any one person.
