Model UN is an organization in which students across Iowa simulate the committee and general assembly meetings of the United Nations. Students develop their understanding of the world and their role in it, while honing their skills in research, analysis, speaking, and diplomatic problem-solving. Students research and craft position papers on a wide-range of social, economic, political, and science-based topics. They use those position papers to participate in regional and statewide symposiums and may earn awards and honors for their participation.
